 SurfaceProtect
- BLUE IN COLOR>
Replaces surface saver tape at virtually the same cost
per lens about $0.10 per lens as conventional tape.
The SurfaceProtect product will NOT harm AR coatings,
hydrophobic or oleophobic top coatings, which may be
on the semi finished surface prior to grinding. This
product works extremely well on segmented lenses including
executives, D-28, 8X35, etc. without creating any air
bubbles or air pockets that cause power errors and waves
on the lens. Additionally, high base curved lenses are
now simple to process without the crinkling of the tape
on the lens edge. The product virtually removes itself,
after slens surfacing, using our FilmOff detergent mixed
in water with NO need to "peel" the tape with
finger nails or special tools that can possibly scratch
the lens. An automated block/film removal system can
easily be used for larger labs. SurfaceProtect can be
left on the lens after surfacing to protect the lens
during the handling of and edging of the lenses if no
AR is to be applied or it can be removed before prior
to AR coating.

EdgeRight
– REDISH-PINK IN
COLOR> Better than all other edging aid products
on the market. The EdgeRight product will NOT harm any
AR coatings, hydrophobic or oleophobic top coatings.This
product is used for the edging of hydrophobic, super
hydrophobic and oleophobic lenses without lens twisting,
slipping or moving. It is reasonably priced, around
$0.15 per lens and prevents all breakage on lenses due
to block slipping while edging. A second advantage of
EdgeRight is the reduction of torque, sheer and tensil
stresses applied on the lens surface which cause AR
film crazing during edging. Additionally, the film can
be left on while the lens is drilled and or mounted
unto the frame thereby avoiding handling scratches.
The product is easily removed using our FilmOff detergent
product mixed with water. The removal of this film can
be automated so no employee touches the lens until after
it is cleaned and dried.

LensGuard
- GREEN IN COLOR>
It is used for protecting finished or semi finished
lenses which have an AR or mirror coating when shipping
to lab customers or retail stores to prevent surface
damages like scratching. It is easily removed and does
not damage the AR or top coat. It is inexpensive to
use and protects lenses 100% for surface damaging due
to poor handling of lenses.

FilmOff
- CLEAR IN COLOR> It is used to remove the three
(3) LensProtect products listed above. It is easy to
use and does not harm AR coatings or top coats on lenses.
It is a mildly alkaline detergent that also washes the
lenses to an unsurpassed cleanliness. For the fastest
removal results it is best to use our FilmOff in an
ultrasonic cleaner but it is not necessary to use an
ultrasonic cleaner. Regardless of ultrasonics, the product
works very fast and is biodegradable. The application
of all our LensProtect products is simple and the curing
is quick. Application of the film takes < 10 seconds
in a manual mode and less time in an automated mode.
The removal of the LensProtect products is done with
or without an ultrasonic cleaner using our Film X solution.
